Programme overview

The EBSA Reset Programme

EBSA Reset is a 6-week neuro-affirming coaching and mentoring programme for children and young people experiencing EBSA, EBSNA, school anxiety, shutdown or reduced attendance.

The programme supports the young person, parent/carer and, where appropriate, the school to move away from blame, panic and pressure and towards understanding, emotional safety and realistic planning.

Programme aim

The aim of the programme

The aim is not to force a quick return to school. The aim is to understand what is underneath the distress and create a realistic reset plan that supports:

  • Emotional safety

  • Confidence

  • Self-understanding

  • Parent confidence

  • Communication with school

  • Regulation strategies

  • Gradual reconnection with learning or wider life

Focussed child, calm, relaxed after EBSA Reset

What is included?

EBSA Reset Core Programme includes:

  • Initial parent consultation

  • 6 weekly coaching or mentoring sessions

  • Parent guidance and reflection activities

  • EBSA Reset workbook/resources

  • Emotional regulation and confidence-building tools

  • Personalised EBSA Reset Plan

  • Final summary and next steps

  • Optional school liaison as an add-on

Optional Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy-informed support can be added to the EBSA Reset programme where appropriate.

This includes one gentle hypnotherapy-informed session with the child or young person, plus a personalised or carefully tailored calming audio to listen to at home.

The audio is designed to support calm, confidence, emotional regulation and self-belief between sessions. It can become part of the young person’s wider EBSA Reset Plan.

This may be helpful where anxiety, fear, low confidence, sleep difficulties or unhelpful beliefs are making it harder for the young person to take small, realistic steps forward.

Hypnotherapy is only used where it feels suitable for the young person and with parental consent.

EBSA Reset Hypnotherapy Add-On: from £150
